Today’s spotlight is on Chance, a recent graduate from Western Wayne High School. Chance wanted to gain some “hands-on” work experience to help prepare him for life after high school. The Deutsch Institute was able to find him a Paid Work Experience as a Grounds Keeper at Keen Lake Camping & Cottage Resort in Waymart. Every Monday, accompanied by his job coach, Chance works closely with the management and staff to prepare campsites for new arrivals. Chance has learned to work efficiently as part of a team, prioritize tasks, improve his communication skills, and provide great customer service. In fact, he can navigate his way through the numerous campsites better than his job coach! Certainly the future is bright for Chance.
